Age: 23
Hometown: Joliet, IL
Undergrad studies: Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training with minor degrees in Psychology and Organizational Leadership Supervision
Career goals/”Dream Job”: My ultimate career goal is to become the athletic director at either a high school or small college.
Work/internship experience: Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Central Michigan University Women’s Field Hockey as well as Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Teams, First Aid Responder for Purdue University sports camps, and Gatorade hydration representative for Purdue University sports camps.
Name your greatest achievement: My greatest achievement is completing all the requirements including passing my certification exam on my first attempt to become a certified athletic trainer.
What makes you different from others in your field? I feel that one thing that makes me different from others in my field is that I have an open mind about my future. Even though I have what I think is my dream job in mind, I believe that we learn about ourselves through experience and there is so much I haven’t been exposed to yet. Therefore, I have this curiosity within myself that wants to explore all options and possibilities within the sport industry to find what the best fit is for me.
Other fun facts: I have a collection of travelers’ spoons. Also I originally was planning on becoming a pharmacist when I began my college career but quickly realized that wasn’t what was best for me.
Favorite sports team/player/moment: As a senior in high school, my bowling team and I were able to collectively bowl the highest team series ever at the state championships and later went on to take second in the overall competition which was never done in our school’s history.
